Ok, the kirk vs spock brawl of “mirror, mirror” was by far the most brutal, i guess it’s obvious that bearded spock is more extreme.

An unpolished poem for the evening.
Empty head A puppet, a dummy, misled, because of my empty head. Where others keep their poignant thoughts, in my neck-topper I hold naught. When I visit the city in summertime, I must keep my toes to the line: if my steps find the sidewalk’s end, I can only turn right round again. Nowhere to go, nothing to do, I am walking in circles to find you. Can you, will you, set me...

To infinity and beyond
It’s been a while since I made any Star Trek related posts so I have a few episodes to take note of here, as they have been really fantastic. Steve & I started Season 2 and have made it so far through “Amok Time,” “Who Mourns for Adonais,” and “Changeling.” Of course “Amok Time” is famous for delving into the weird practices of Vulcans,...

Akumu Ink - Death Before Dishonor Featurette →
Akumu Ink is one of my favorite indie labels that sells some killer t-shirts and hoodies. They are “Inspired by Japanese horror movies, deathcore music, manga, tattoos, Edward Gorey, and Tim Burton.” This is an interesting featurette of the Death Before Dishonor design and how the designer goes through his process. Although I must say the implication of drinking that much absinthe is a...

Coming through the window... bundles of photons.
Sunshine fascinates me. Light fascinates me, even on a minute scale; photons behaving like both particles and waves, defying explanations which suit everything else. Plants grow toward the light. Animal life develops optic sensors to detect light. You don’t see any other type of rays getting this sort of treatment. Light, pure and transcendent, faster than a thought. Sunlight embraces you with...

"The Devil in the Dark"
The ending dialogue of this episode was probably the most disturbing so far. Also, the Hortas looked (to me) almost exactly like those fire slugs in Ocarina of Time: Kirk vs. a Horta Link vs. a Torch Slug

"This Side of Paradise"
“This Side of Paradise” had a pretty epic Kirk vs. Spock brawl. Those flower-bombs crack me up. Also, Layla (spelling?) was extremely creepy, but not as weird as happy Spock. “I don’t have much to say about it, but for the first time in my life, I was happy.” Cue classic emotional Star Trek music. I love this show in all its ridiculousness. Overall Star Trek watching...

biphasic sleeping
2 periods of rest throughout a 24-hour total period. in this instance, 6am-9am, 6pm-9pm. i like to refer to them as phases 1 and 2. ideally, the body adapts to enter REM sleep almost immediately upon slumbering. I think it’s starting to work; lately, I have twice as many weird dreams, because I have them twice a day. 1.20.10. phase 1 sleep… commence.
